Big changes are coming soon in World of Warcraft Classic. The auction houses in all cities will close and trade will be restricted. So in preparation for the first expansion, players will have to resort to traditional trading - at least for a few days.
What is happening? All auction houses in World of Warcraft Classic are temporarily suspended. You can then neither sell your materials and weapons in the auction house, nor buy items for crafting or enchantments.
Instead, players have to resort to old-fashioned trading during this time and get in direct contact with other players if they want to buy or sell goods among themselves.
When does this happen? The auction house will close on May 14th at 7:00 p.m. The auction houses will only be available again from May 19, almost 5 days later, after the maintenance work.
Why is the auction house closing? WoW Classic will take the step towards the first expansion Burning Crusade Classic in a few days. Since a new add-on is being installed, the developers will take a "snapshot" of the player characters. This is then used so that players can clone their characters or move them to a pure "Classic Era" realm.
Since items and world of warcraft classic gold in the auction house technically still belong to the character, there is probably a 4-day ban. After 3 days at the latest, all items are returned and in the mailbox, so that nothing can be lost.
So if you want to buy vanilla wow gold or sell items in the next few days, you should do it promptly. Because if you add items at the last moment, you are basically throwing your gold away. After all, other players will then no longer be able to access the auction house. The cost of placing the items will not be reimbursed.
So plan ahead and stock up on everything you want before the big pre-patch.
